Will I receive the same product that I see in the picture?

We make every effort to provide our customers with products that look the same as the images displayed on our website pages. However please keep in mind that photographs have a difficult time showing exact colors and that the actual color of a product may vary slightly from what is shown in one of our website images because every monitor or mobile display has a different capability to display colours, and every individual may see these colours differently. In addition, lighting conditions at the time the photo was taken can also affect an image’s colour. We work hard to update our website descriptions and images as soon as we are aware of noticeable variations in our products that customers may find unacceptable.

Also please be aware that for handmade products (products with embroidery, stone, beads, sequins, etc.) it is not possible to guarantee that they are always exactly the same as depicted in the image. Much of the charm and value of these products comes from the fact that manual work is unrepeatable and unique, as well as from the quality of the materials used.

Will I receive a quality product by Urban Womania?

As an international brand, we adhere to strict quality and design benchmarks. All our products are superior in quality and will meet all  your expectations. Our quality guidelines are tailored to ensure that you recieve a high quality product. Our quality team and warehouse checks the products to ensure:

Where do you source your products from?

Urban Womania gets each product from different weavers and manufacturers across India. We source from our trusted partners, who are able to maintain our quality standards. All products listed on our store are proudly made in India.

Do you have the 'try and buy' option?

Unfortunately, we don't have the try and buy feature.

Do you have any offline stores?

We do not have any offline store currently. We have all our products on our website.

Order Status & Tracking

How will I know if my order has been placed successfully?
You will receive an email and SMS confirmation from Urban Womania once your order has been successfully placed. The mail will have all the details related to your order.
How do I check the status of my order?

To check the status of your order, log into your account on the UrbanWomania.com website, and go to the Orders section to get all the information.

Can I modify the shipping address of my order after it has been placed?
The shipping address of your order can only be modified if your order hasn't been shipped yet from our warehouse. To modify your shipping address, please get in touch with our Customer Care team at [email protected]
How can I track my order?
Orders, once processed and shipped can be tracked using the consignment/tracking number, commonly referred to as the AWB number. You can track your order in two ways -
  1. After you log in to your Urban Womania account, go to the ‘My Account' page and find the order number your wish to track. Click on 'Track' to see real-time updates of your shipment status. Please note that this link becomes valid only 24 hours after your order has been dispatched.
  2. Alternatively, you may track your order through our order shipment email which provides a direct link to track your order real-time on the service provider’s website
In cases where our website can’t link to the courier service providers’ website in real-time, we will share the AWB number and the provider’s name with you via email, and on your account page. To track your shipment status, all you need to do is –
  1. Go to the service provider's website
  2. Type in the tracking number provided in the mail in the Tracking section and check the status
How long will it take for my order to reach me?

We process and ship every order within 5-6 business days of receiving it. However, in some cases, due to the intricate manufacturing process of Indian Ethnic Wear, it may take 7-10 working days to dispatch your order.

Once your order is ready and dispatched it is usually delivered within 3-7 days. We partner with reputed courier services so that your products reach you on time.

I was not available to collect my order. Will the delivery be reattempted?
Yes. If you were unavailable to collect your order, our courier partner will attempt the delivery up to two more times. If you are aware of your future unavailability, please do inform our customer care team at [email protected] so that we can attempt the delivery at a later date.
My order shows delivered but I have not received it.
Generally, our courier partners deliver the order to the intended recipient at the delivery address only. In case, you have not received the order, we request you to mail us at [email protected] within 48 hours of the delivery intimation from our end. We shall arrange proof of delivery for you within 48 hours of your complaint from the aligned courier partner. Kindly note, any complaint raised after 48 hours of receiving the delivery intimation may not be considered.

Shipping & Delivery

What are the shipping charges on Urban Womania?

We offer free shipping to all serviceable pin codes in India.

For International Orders Shipping charges are automatically added at the time of checkout.

What delivery methods do you use?

We use leading courier companies such as Delhivery, Xpressbees, Shadowfax, OnlineXpress, Ecom Express and Bluedart for shipment in India.

For International Orders, we ship via FedEx, DHL, and Aramex. Urban Womania does not ship to any PO Boxes or APO addresses.

What should be done if my package has been opened or tampered with?
If your package has been opened or tampered with, we request you to not accept the shipment and immediately inform our customer care team at [email protected]. Kindly note, that any intimation after 24 hours of the attempted delivery, will not be considered.

Return & Exchange

What is Urban Womania’s 2-days return & exchange policy? How does it work?

Our 2-days returns and exchange policy gives you an option to return or exchange items purchased from the 'Urban Womania' website/app for any reason within 2 days of receipt of the item. We only ask that you don't use the product and preserve its original condition, tags and packaging. You are welcome to try on a product but please take adequate measures to preserve its condition.

Kindly note, that all exchanges are subject to stock availability and subject to your address being serviceable for an exchange. 

For orders shipped outside India, You, the customer, will be liable for all return shipping costs/customs charges which may be incurred in the return of the package back to India.

In case of Exchange of products for International Orders you will be billed for return shipment charges to ship the product back to you.

Which products are not eligible for return and exchange?

1. Due to their precious and delicate nature, Lehengas and Accessories purchased on urbanwomania.com cannot be exchanged or returned.

2. If the product is customized for you (e.g - lehenga with custom stitching or sarees with fall & edging, stitched blouses, etc), then it can't be returned or exchanged. 

In the case of Lehengas, Accessories, and Customized Products,  Exchange will only be done in the following cases

  • In case we discover that a wrong item has been shipped to you.
  • If you receive a damaged/defective product (package opening video required).

In the case of Lehengas, Accessories, and Customized Products,  Refunds will only be done in the following cases

  • Packages lost in transit.
  • In case we discover any mispricing in its online catalogue and the price charged to you is higher than the actual price.
How do I return products purchased from Urban Womania?

You can return products purchased from Urban Womania within 2 days of receiving the product. To return a product, please follow the steps mentioned below:

» If a product is eligible for return, the user will be able to initiate the return request under the ‘Orders’ section.
» Create a return request under the ‘Orders‘ section on the website and follow the instructions provided.
» In case you purchase multiple products in a single order, return requests for individual items can also be raised.
» Once a return request is raised, 'Urban Womania' shall analyse the request and accordingly process the request internally. All return / refund claims shall be subject to our discretion.
» If the return request is approved a reverse pickup will be scheduled for returning the product, please keep the items ready to be picked up by the delivery partners.

How do I place an exchange request on Urban Womania?

You can exchange products purchased from Urban Womania within 2 days of receiving the product. To exchange a product, please follow the steps mentioned below:

» If a product is eligible for exchange, the user will be able to initiate the exchange request under the ‘Orders’ section.
» Create an exchange request under the ‘Orders‘ section on the website and follow the instructions provided.
» In case you purchase multiple products in a single order, exchange requests for individual items can also be raised.
» Once an exchange request is raised, 'Urban Womania' shall analyse the request and accordingly process the request internally.
» If the exchange request is approved a reverse pickup will be scheduled for returning the product, please keep the items ready to be picked up by the delivery partners.

Note: All exchanges are subject to stock availability and subject to your address being serviceable for an exchange.

How do I return/exchange multiple products from a single order?
  • If you are returning/exchanging multiple products from a single order together, we will generate a single Return ID/Exchange ID for all products and you will receive an e-mail and SMS confirmation for the same.
  • If you wish to return/exchange another product from a single order at a later date, still within the 2-days return policy, we will accept your return/exchange and arrange a reverse pick-up for the second time. For subsequent returns/exchanges from the same order, you will be charged flat Rs. 200/- as reverse pickup charge.
Does Urban Womania pick up the product I want to return/exchange from my location?

Currently, we pick up products only from selected pin codes. Please note the following salient points -

  • We will pick up the return within 1-3 business days from the request approval date.
  • Please keep the return/exchange shipment ready and ensure that the product(s) is unused, and unwashed and all the tags are intact.

Note: Some of the pin codes are not feasible for a Reverse pickup, in such cases the customer will need to send the product back to us. For more details please e-mail us at

Reverse pickup is not available for orders shipped outside India.

For orders shipped outside India, You, the customer, will be liable for all return shipping costs/customs charges which may be incurred in the return of the package back to India.

Why did the pick-up of my product fail?
We make three attempts to pick up the item. If the item is not picked up on the third attempt, the pickup request will be marked as failed.
How long will it take for me to receive the refund of my returned product?

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

For International Orders Refund to ‘Store Credit’ will be processed only deducting standard shipping charges, while refund to your original payment method (i.e. Credit card, Stripe, Paypal) will incur a handling & processing fee of 15% of your total purchase price plus standard shipping charges will be deducted from the amount to be refunded to you.

For COD (Cash on Delivery) Transactions

Cash Refunds are not allowed for COD orders since we cannot get cash delivered through our delivery/pickup partners. If You have made the payment as cash on delivery, you will be asked to provide us with your bank account details and the refund amount will be credited to the bank account details provided by you. ‘Urban Womania’ shall not be liable to you in case incorrect bank account details have been provided by you.

Following are the processing timelines after the product is received by us.
» Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI Linked Bank Account – 3-7 Business Days.
» Cash on Delivery (Refund to Bank Account) – 3-7 Business Days after updating the bank account details.

What should I do if I receive a damaged/defective/incomplete/wrong product from Urban Womania?

For any defective/ damaged/incomplete/wrong order delivered, we request you to inform us within 48 hours of receiving the order with the package opening video and images of the product received. You can do so by clicking on 'Return’ under the ‘Orders’ section of the Urban Womania App/Website/M-site and following the instructions to upload the video and images. Please keep in mind the following points:

  • You need to upload a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 pictures
  • Kindly ensure the images are clear and the damaged/defective/missing part of the outfit is highlighted
  • You must send us an image of the original labels and tags intact 

In case you face any technical difficulties in following this process, kindly get in touch with us at [email protected]. We will then investigate the case and reply within 48 hours with the best available resolution.

Any such complaint raised after 48 hours of receiving the order may not be considered.

Cancellation

What is Urban Womania’s Cancellation Policy?

You can cancel an order when it is in pending payment, hold, or received status, as long as the ‘Cancel Order’ option is available on Website. This includes items purchased on sale also. Any amount paid will be credited into the same payment mode using which the payment was made.

How do I cancel my order?

To cancel an order visit the ‘Orders‘ section under ‘My Account‘ and then select the item or order you want to cancel.

I just cancelled my order. When will I receive my refund?

If you had selected Cash on Delivery, there is no amount to be refunded because you haven’t paid for your order. For payments made via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI or Wallet you will receive the refund into the source account within 7-10 days from the time of order cancellation.

For International Orders 5% deductions will there due to transaction fees charged by payment gateway and banks.
