Overview

Our returns and refund policy gives you an option to return/exchange items purchased on ‘Urban Womania’ for any reason within a period of 2 days (“return period” and “exchange period“) after the delivery of the goods to the shipping address mentioned in the order. Our refund and returns policy lasts 2 days. If 2 days have passed since your receipt of the products, we can’t offer you a exchange or refund.

If you have received a damaged/defective or incomplete/wrong product from Urban Womania, then in such a case, we request you to inform us within 48 hours of receiving the order with the package opening video and images of the product received. You can do so by clicking on ‘Return’ under the ‘Orders’ section of the Urban Womania App/Website/M-site and follow the instructions to upload the video and images. Any such complaint raised after 48 hours of receiving the order may not be considered.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging with all the tags and branding intact.

Lehengas, Accessories and Customised Products, purchased on urbanwomania.com can be exchanged or returned under certain circumstances only. Please refer to the “Exceptions” section of this policy for more details.

Initiating a Return

To return a product, please follow the steps mentioned below:

» If a product is eligible for return/exchange, the user will be able to initiate the return/exchange request under the ‘Orders’ section.
» Create a return/exchange request under the ‘Orders‘ section on the website and follow the instructions provided.
» In case you purchase multiple products in a single order, return/exchange requests for individual items can also be raised.
» Once a return request is raised, ‘Urban Womania’ shall analyse the request and accordingly process the request internally. All return / refund claims shall be subject to our discretion.
» If the return request is approved a reverse pickup will be scheduled for returning the product, please keep the items ready to be picked up by the delivery partners.

Return request will not be accepted through any other medium like WhatsApp, Email, Facebook / Instagram chat or Phone call.

Reverse Pickup

We offer our customers a simple, hassle-free, Reverse Pickup. Our customers are valued not only at the time of sale but also through the subsequent stages of Returns & Refunds. Our policy is thoughtfully designed to ease up the process, save time and make you feel reassured about your order.

During Pickup, our delivery agent may do a quality check on the return. For a successful pickup, we will initiate a doorstep refund for the return amount. This doorstep refund may not be applicable for some pin codes in which case refund will be initiated after the product has been received at our warehouse and has passed a quality check. If the picked up product does not pass the quality check, we shall ship it back to you.

Please note that the product will be picked up from the same address where delivery was made. In case pick up is to be made from a different address, the same should be notified to us by writing to [email protected]. Such request may be accepted at our sole discretion and subject to the new address being in serviceable area.

Note: Some of the pin codes are not feasible for a Reverse pickup, in such cases the customer will need to send the product back to us. For more details please e-mail us at [email protected].

Reverse pickup is not available for orders shipped outside India.

For orders shipped outside India, You, the customer, will be liable for all return shipping costs/customs charges which may be incurred in the return of the package back to India.

Return Guidelines

Prior to creating a return or exchange request on the platform, you shall ensure that, the product:
» must be in its original condition with all the packaging including brand/manufacturer’s box/packaging, tags, warranty cards and other accessories intact;
» must not be damaged in your possession;
» must be unused, unwashed, unsoiled, without any stains and with non-tampered quality check seals/return tags/warranty seals (wherever applicable).
» must not be used or altered;
» must be the same product that was delivered to you; and
» must be returned within the 2 days return period

Exchange

If you wish to exchange an item for reason of mismatch of size or receipt of a defective you can create an exchange request by visiting the ‘Orders‘ section under ‘My Account‘. You will be provided with a replacement of the item, free of cost. However all exchanges are subject to stock availability and subject to your address being serviceable for an exchange.

Exchange request will not be accepted through any other medium like WhatsApp, Email, Facebook / Instagram chat or Phone call.

Exchange Policy

a) If you choose to exchange the item purchased by you on ‘Urban Womania’ within the specified “exchange period” for the same size or different size of same style, you will be provided with a replacement of the item, free of cost.

b) If you choose to exchange item purchased by you on ‘Urban Womania’ for any other item of the same or different value from ‘Urban Womania’, then, in such case, if exchanged item is of the higher value, differences in amount will be charged to you and if exchanged item is of the lower value, differences in amount will be refunded to you post successful pick up of original item from you.

c) Net amount paid by you (excluding instant cashback/discount) to purchase original item will be considered to calculate difference in amount of original and exchanged item which will be payable by you or refundable by ‘Urban Womania’ as the case may be, for an exchange.

d) Applicable exchange will trigger post successful pickup of the original item from you and approval by us.

e) Exchanges are only allowed for pincodes which are serviceable for an exchange.

f) Non- returnable products/categories cannot be exchanged.

g) For International Orders you will be billed for return shipment charges to ship the product back to you.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

For International Orders Refund to ‘Store Credit’ will be processed only deducting standard shipping charges, while refund to your original payment method (i.e. Credit card, Stripe, Paypal) will incur a handling & processing fee of 15% of your total purchase price plus standard shipping charges will be deducted from the amount to be refunded to you.

For COD (Cash on Delivery) Transactions

Cash Refunds are not allowed for COD orders since we cannot get cash delivered through our delivery/pickup partners. If You have made the payment as cash on delivery, you will be asked to provide us with your bank account details and the refund amount will be credited to the bank account details provided by you. ‘Urban Womania’ shall not be liable to you in case incorrect bank account details have been provided by you.

Late or missing refunds

Following are the processing timelines after the product is received by us.
» Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI Linked Bank Account – 3-7 Business Days.
» Cash on Delivery (Refund to Bank Account) – 3-7 Business Days after updating the bank account details.

If you haven’t received the refund yet, check your credit card/bank account statement or contact your credit card company or bank, it may take some processing time before your refund is officially posted.

In case of any discrepancies regarding receipt of refund amount, We may request for additional information such as bank statement or any other relevant document.

Refunds will only be done in the following cases

  • If you receive a damaged/defective product (package opening video required).
  • Genuine sizing issues, only for unused garments with tags. Please review our size guides carefully before making your purchase.
  • Genuine quality issues.
  • Packages lost in transit.
  • In case we discover any mispricing in its online catalogue and the price charged to you is higher than the actual price.
  • In case we discover that a wrong item has been shipped to you.

No refunds will be given in the following cases

  • In case of minor design and colour variations.
  • Incorrect or outdated delivery address.
  • Incorrect address format including any form of a PO Box address.
  • After 3 failed delivery attempts by the courier.
  • Package refused by recipient.
  • Products returned in a used or damaged condition.

Note: Refunds will only be made after we have received the returned shipment except if the package shipped by us has been lost in transit.

Exceptions

1. Due to their precious and delicate nature, Lehengas and Accessories purchased on urbanwomania.com cannot be exchanged or returned.

2. If the product is customized for you (e.g – lehenga with custom stitching or sarees with fall & edging, stitched blouses, etc), then it can’t be returned or exchanged.

In case of Lehengas, Accessories, and Customized Products, Exchange will only be done in the following cases

  • In case we discover that a wrong item has been shipped to you.
  • If you receive a damaged/defective product (package opening video required).

In case of Lehengas, Accessories, and Customized Products, Refunds will only be done in the following cases

  • Packages lost in transit.
  • In case we discover any mispricing in its online catalogue and the price charged to you is higher than the actual price.

Miscellaneous

Please note that we reserve the right to reject returns/refunds from any particular customer.

‘Urban Womania’ will not be liable for the products returned by mistake. In circumstances where an extra or a different product is returned by mistake, ‘Urban Womania’ would not be accountable for misplacement or replacement of the product and is not responsible for its delivery back to the User.

‘Urban Womania’ shall reserve the right to restrict return or exchange of the items purchased on ‘Urban Womania’ if a customer in any way breaches or misuse this policy, as determined in our sole discretion.

In case you have purchased an item which has a free gift/offer associated with it and you wish to return/exchange the main item, then you will have to return the free product as well.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable. In the event of a ‘Free Shipping’, standard shipment charges paid from our end will be deducted from the refund amount back to you.

Do NOT return any item(s) without prior confirmation from a member of our team. If your return has not been approved by a team member, we reserve all rights to deny your return and your package will be returned back to you at your own cost.

Urban Womania reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to amend, change, modify, add or remove any portion of this policy at any time without any prior written notice to you. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically for any updates/ changes.
